Valentines Day Experience

cake decorating-photography plus a three coursemeal

Take one cake shop, one photographer add in a restaurant and you have a very exciting experience

This weekend myself in collaboration with The Hazelnut Bakery decided it was time to offer something completely unique to our clients for valentines day.

We brought on board The Old Bell Inn and with that a little bit of magic was born.

The idea was simple couples came to Hazels shop for an expert tutorial in the art of cake decoration with complimentary bubbly and nibbles.  Hazel is so talented both as a maker of cakes and a teacher.

They then experiences a professional photo shoot with me.  It was relaxed and fun and LOTs of giggles.  Once chosen, our lovely couples will be receiving their framed 8×6 prints.

The cakes that they had lovingly decorated then magically made their way to The Old Bell Inn (thanks Chris) where our couples were treated to a sumptuous three course meal, culminating in their own cakes for desert!!!

Don’t take my word for it that this experience was a blast, check out the photos I don’t think anyone could disagree it was a truly unique experience and one not to be missed.  Watch this space as we have other experiences in the pipeline.

Our first couple were amazing having never had a photo shoot before we made it fun, but got some lovely shots of the pair.

I have met couple number two before and it was lovely to see them enjoying a fun activity together and learning.  I have to say all the boys/men on our cake making experience loved it and their was healthy competition going on too between each and every couple as to who’s cakes were going to be the best.

Our third couple who were happy to appear on my blog were amazing.  I don’t think I have ever giggled so much.  The enjoyment they got from the class was a joy to capture!!  They have no photos of themselves together so they now have a fabulous selection to choose from.

You can find more images on my facebook page and while you are on facebook pop over and say hi to The Hazelnut Bakery and The Old Bell Inn

Watch out for our next unique experience coming soon.  To be hosted by the lovely Hazel and Chris

Project 52 – Week Two

black and white, gnarly tree, It’s Robs last day away and this morning he was out playing on some fresh powder.

So grabbed my camera to catch a bit of gnarly action myself.  It’s not quite as good as a day on the hills with fresh, but if I can’t board the powder with him, it was the gnarliest I could manage.

Project 52 – Week One

Project 52 - Week One, flowersRob was off to France this week and left me with a lovely bunch of flowers.  Nothing arty here, nothing special, just a quick snap and edit and a lovely bunch of flowers.  What better way to start project 52.  Thanks love x
